Privacy policy

This English version is provided for convenience; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

Planimage takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. This page explains what data is collected on this website, why, and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés).

Data controller

Mélanie Geyer, operator of Planimage (sole trader, French micro-entreprise), 51 impasse Jacques Fauquet, 76210 Bolbec, France — see the legal notice.

Data collected and purposes

  • Contact form: name, phone, email, type of project, town, message — used only to reply to your request.
  • Client area: name, email, phone, and the information you enter in your file (questionnaire, documents) — used to follow up your service (questionnaire, contract, deposit, delivery) and to send you the related email notifications.
  • Photographs and videos: taken as part of your service, used to deliver your order. They are only published on this website (portfolio) with your explicit permission, obtained separately before anything goes online — see the legal notice.
  • Testimonials: if you leave one, the text, a rating and the name or first name you choose to display.
  • Security log: IP address and technical connection information, for the sole purpose of detecting and blocking intrusion attempts or malicious bots.

Legal basis

Depending on the case: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (contact request, file management), consent (testimonial, permission to publish photos), or legitimate interest (website security).

Recipients of the data

Your data is never sold or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes. It is accessible only to Mélanie Geyer and, technically, to the website host (OVH SAS, France), which hosts the servers — see the legal notice.

Retention period

Client file data is kept for the duration of the business relationship and then for up to 5 years after the last service, unless a longer legal retention period applies (accounting documents: 10 years). Contact requests that do not lead to a service are kept for 3 years at most. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time (see “Your rights” below).

Cookies

This website uses no advertising tracking cookies and no social network pixels. Only two cookies may be set, both strictly necessary for the website to work: a technical session cookie, used only to keep you logged in to your client area or to the administration (deleted when you close your browser or log out), and a language preference cookie (“planimage_lang”, kept for 1 year), which simply remembers whether you browse the site in French or English. Neither is used for tracking or profiling; as these cookies are strictly necessary, no consent banner is required.

Audience measurement

The website counts the number of views per page, to know which pages are the most visited. This is done without cookies, without collecting IP addresses or any visitor identifier, and without cross-referencing any other data: only aggregated counters per page are kept. In line with the criteria of the CNIL (the French data protection authority), this strictly anonymous audience measurement is exempt from prior consent; the data is neither passed on to third parties nor used for any other purpose.

Security

The website is only accessible over HTTPS, passwords are stored in encrypted form (never in plain text), and an automatic detection system blocks intrusion attempts and malicious bots.

Transfers outside the European Union

No data is transferred outside the European Union: the website is hosted in France (OVH) and uses no third-party service likely to export your data outside the EU.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact me via the contact form or by phone. I reply within one month at most. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Updates

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website or to regulations. Last updated: September 2026.
