About

Mélanie Geyer, photographer and founder of Planimage

A photographer since 2016, I tell stories through images with spontaneity, sensitivity and authenticity. Weddings, portraits, families, artists or events: every session is first and foremost an encounter, and every photograph a way of preserving a moment that will never happen again.

I’m Mélanie Geyer, photographer and founder of Planimage. I love capturing natural emotions, knowing glances, spontaneous gestures and all those little details that give an image its true value. My aim is not only to take beautiful photographs, but to create lively, honest and personal memories in which everyone can recognise themselves.

My professional path in photography began in 2016 in the events sector. In particular, I worked as the official photographer for Studio Pasteur in Puteaux, near Paris, photographing artists, concerts and various events, in conditions where you need to be attentive, discreet and responsive all at once.

I then went on to work with the company Shock Music as an artist photographer, creating images to present the artists, support their communication and showcase their identity.

Over the years, I broadened my work to private events, portraits and personalised sessions, building a versatile approach that can adapt as easily to the energy of a concert as to the intimacy of a portrait or the gentleness of a family moment. Since 2026, I have been putting this experience to work for every project through Planimage, with a simple, human and attentive approach.

In front of my camera, you don’t need to know how to pose. I favour natural interaction, movement and spontaneous moments to create images that truly look like you. Depending on the project, I can guide you when needed, while leaving enough freedom for the emotions to stay genuine.

Through Planimage, I now photograph weddings, couples, families, portraits, artists, businesses and private or corporate events. Every project is different, but my intention remains the same: to create elegant, authentic images that tell a story and stand the test of time.

Sometimes a team effort. I’m not always alone on the ground: for projects that call for several viewpoints at once (capturing the same scene from different angles at the same moment, or combining complementary artistic sensibilities), I’m happy to call on trusted photographers, chosen for their high standards and sensitivity.

This doesn’t change the rates we’ll have agreed together. Only services that genuinely require a second photographer for their whole duration may be adjusted — always discussed with you beforehand, never as a surprise.
